Intolerable Levels of Pollution
The changes on the routes going west have created intolerable levels of pollution due the traffic jams created in the centre of Bloomsbury, hitherto a residential area.
BLOOMSBURY ROADS ARE LIKELY TO BE COMPLETELY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC ALONG SOUTH, EAST AND WEST BORDERS
It is important for local residents and businesses to know that due to TfL's Streetspace for London plans, all major roads bordering the south, east and west sides of the east Bloomsbury area are likely to be closed to motor vehicles, apart from buses and emergency vehicles. BRAG supports walking and cycling initiatives - especially for improved air quality - but is concerned about the impact of these changes upon residents' quality of life, and particularly the impact on deliveries - we need our small shops and local businesses to survive Covid-19.
